You will need 17" of ribbon and
as seen in picture 1, You will also need 2 pieces of sticky back fun foam 2 1/2" x 6
1/4" (item A), 2 pieces of mat board 2 3/4" x 6 1/2" (item B), 2 sheets of wrapping
weight paper 4" x 7 3/4" (item C, stamp as desired). These will be for the
outside cover of your wallet. 2 sheets of wrapping weight paper 2 3/4" x 6 1/2"
(item D, also stamped as desired). These will be for the inside lining of your wallet.
We are using the wrapping paper because it is lightweight, yet for durability I used
the "Josephs Coat" technique on mine. If you wish to stamp yours direct to paper,
after stamping brayer with Versamark over the entire sheet and emboss with clear embossing powder
to give it a plastic finish. Remove the protective
sheet from the fun foam and stick it to the mat board as seen in picture 2. Cover the
fun foam and edges of the mat board with glue. Place it face down on the unstamped
side of the larger paper (item C in pic.1). Trim the corners, fold over the edges and glue down
(see pic. 3). This will give your wallet a buttonized look.

Cut two pieces of ribbon about 5" long. Arrange them in an X and glue to the front cover
approximately 1 ½ " from the top and 1 ½" from the bottom as seen in picture 4. Cut two
more sections of ribbon about 3 ½" long and glue to the other side of the same piece about
1" from each end. Again refer to picture 4. Glue one of the lining sheets (item D in pic.1)
over the exposed mat board covering the cut ends of the ribbon (pic. 5). Lay the other side
close to the finished side and fold the X of ribbon over the top and glue the ends to the
second side. Make sure to leave a slight gap between the front and back section.
(as you see in pic.6).

Glue the remaining lining paper down the left side, covering the ribbon ends of the
X yet leaving the right side up (see pic. 7). Tuck the ends of the straight ribbons under
the right edge of the lining paper and glue down (again see pic.7). You should now have
what you see in picture 8. When the glue has dried, place a dollar in your wallet as in
picture 9.

Close your wallet (pic. 10), flip it over (pic. 11) and open it from the other side
(pic 12). As you do the dollar will be drawn under the ribbon to be safely held there
until you are ready to spend it (pic. 13).

This is a little grahpic you can print and put inside your wallet if you plan to give it as a gift.
