Get Patterns

First you will need to print your pattern. Because my patterns are designed to use an entire sheet of 81/2 x 11" if you try to print it from the web it will not print the right size. So you will need to save it to your computer. If you are running windows do this by right clicking on the picture of the pattern. A box will pop up with a list of options. Choose "save picture as". Now another box will pop up. Choose where you would like the picture to be saved. My documents is a good place. Once you have that done choose "save". Now go to your "Start" button, "Programs", " Accessories" then "Imaging". Once you have Imaging open, click on "File" and then "Open". Look for where you stored the picture. You should be looking for altered_art_dolls.jpg unless you have renamed it. When the image is on your screen just click on the Print icon. Print the pattern on standard white computer paper. Then use a repositionable glue stick on the backside of the computer paper. This will make your pattern into a Giant Post-it-note. Stick it to a scrap piece of paper to remove any excess glue. You would not want to get glue on your project and after it has been stuck once any glue that is going to come off will. Now stick it to your cardstock. I used glossy.

Glue your cardstock to the same size mat board and cut them out! A little tip....Do you have little micro points on your shapes when you try to cut it out instead of using a punch? If your ovals don't look quite oval or your circles don't look quite round, you can "sand" them with an emery board. I use a coarse one that is made for acrylic nails. Stamp and embellish as desired and connect the joints with brads. To twist it up a bit string some beads on wire for arms or shape for feet. As I said there are no rules, just do what feels good!
